Are you looking for realistic travel, beauty, and lifestyle tips but get SO tired of reading about endless weekends and unrealistic travel from people who look like they’ve fallen out of an Anthropology catalogue?
Me too, my friend. Me too.
This blog is an organized collection of recipes, practical DIYs, beauty, skincare, and travel tips for lazy, cheap people who don’t want to skimp on quality. I travel as often as I can and I’m always looking for shortcuts to share. The good kind of shortcuts. Things to save time and money because we can all use a little of both. I’m here to keep it real. No sunshine and rainbows. No bullshit. Real. Grumpy. It’s what I do, my friend.
Who’s behind this nonsense?
Currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, I’m a self-proclaimed realist with a dash of pessimism to humor myself. I started this blog as a way to reach out to the creative lazy community. I am an artist–but not a perfectionist. Quality is important, but so is my time and money.
While living in Japan as an expat for three years, I married a sake/beer/noodle enthusiast. We moved to the US in 2012 and have been finding ways to incorporate Japanese food and culture into our daily lives here in the Sonoran Desert.
Our household is bi-cultural (is that a thing or did I just say a naughty word?) and bi-lingual. Half our conversations are in Japanese and English. Yes that gets us funny looks in Wal-Mart. I highly recommend learning a second language so you can say bad things in public.
